Permanent EYELINER

AFTERCARE

Follow these instructions for permanent eyeliner (lash line enhancement, classic eyeliner, smokey eyeliner) aftercare. Depending on your procedure and your skin type, the healing period can last around 4-6 weeks.

  • Rule #1: Do not touch or scratch your eyes or pick at the scabs!

  • Do not get your eyes wet while they’re healing. Avoid long, hot showers and do not let water touch your eyes. No swimming or saunas.

  • Do not apply makeup or any cosmetics to the eye or anywhere near the eye area.

  • Do not receive any other facial treatments until your permanent eyeliner is completely healed.

  • Avoid going in the sun until your eyeliner is completely healed.

  • Avoid sweating, working out, or any exercise that will cause you to sweat until your eyeliner is completely healed.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face or eye area. Ensure your pillowcases are fresh and clean during your healing process.

  • Protect your eyes from any dirt or dust.

Day 1: Gently wipe the lash line with lukewarm water on a cotton pad every few hours.

Day 2: Wipe the lash line morning, midday and evening.

First Week: No sweating/gym.

First 10 days: Avoid Hot Tubs, Hot Showers, Saunas, Steam Rooms, Public Pools and Lakes and submerging your eyes in water.

First 2 weeks: Avoid wearing any eye makeup, eye creams and eye masks.

First 3 weeks: Protect your eyes from hot direct sun by wearing sunglasses. Avoid getting lash extensions, lash lifts, lash tints, or using lash growth serums.

What to Expect/ What is normal:

Days 1-5: Your liner will appear darker and thicker. Scabbing forms over the line to protect the area while healing.

Days 5-9: As the scabs start coming off, they may appear patchy. A tight or itchy feeling is normal.

Day 9-12: The pigment under may look light or milky due to a thin layer of scar tissue. This is completely normal.

Days 12-21: The pigment will “come back” once the thin layer of scar tissue heals. The liner will appear darker.

Absolutely NO PICKING or SCRATCHING your scabs!
